【Abstract】 Quorum sensing system mediated by LuxS based on signal molecule autoinduccers-2(AI-2) facilitates interspecies communication. This signaling system has been also identified in Streptococcus mutans, which has been concerned as the main pathogenic bacteria in cariogenic biofilm in oral. The development of the effect of LuxS in biofilm formation, virulence factor production and the communication with other oral bacterias of Streptococcus mutans will be introduced in this article.更多还原
