一种易于硬件实现的改进公平性算法

【摘要】 提出的LEMFR算法能够在不改变现有公平帧格式和公平帧发送方式的情况下避免振荡,仿真结果表明该算法在多拥塞的环境下也适用。LEMFR算法实现的硬件开销适中,在此基础上可以形成具有更优性能的公平性算法的IP Core,用在专用RPR MAC芯片的设计中用以实现高速的RPR网络。

【Abstract】 The fairness algorithm is one of the key technologies in Resilient Packet Ring (RPR). The proposed fairness algorithm in IEEE802.17a has slow convergence and permanent oscillations under the condition of unbalanced traffic flows,the essential reason is that the proposed fairness algorithm is an obscure closed congestion control algorithm,many works have been done to improve the performance of the algorithm,either most of these algorithms can not completely avoid oscillations,or they are too complex to be realized,some even need more control information,none of them is suitable to be μsed in the RPR MAC ASIC design. The LEMFR algorithm proposed in this article can completely avoid oscillations without changing the fairness frame and the way for transferring the fairness frame,the simulation results indicate that it also works very well under the condition of multi-choke. The LEMFR algorithm needs proper hardware-spending to realize,it can be used to design IP Core of the fairness algorithm with the better performance which can be used in the RPR MAC chip design to set up high-speed RPR network.
