【Abstract】 Though the number of native English teachers is considered a very important index of English teaching quality in various institutions offering English language courses,it has been proved that EFL classes with native English teachers and Chinese students are not so satisfactory.This may be attributed to the communication barriers posed by different cultural backgrounds in addition to the generally low qualifications of these teachers.This paper aims to analyze the cultural factors underlying such barriers with Hofstede’s theory of cultural dimensions and Samovar and Porter’s communication theory.更多还原
