基于小波域的图像压缩分组编码及其差错隐藏
Wavelet Transform Based Image Compression Using a New Grouping and Error Concealment Scheme
【摘要】 提出了一种基于DWT-SPIHT算法的图像分组压缩编码方法,将小波系数分为多组独立编码和传输,可有效地防止差错传递.在某组丢失的情况下,可通过其他组正确传输的小波系数有效地估计丢失系数.仿真实验显示,与原算法比较,该算法图像压缩质量仅有略微下降,但该差错隐藏方法使系统的抗误码能力大大提高.
【Abstract】 A new grouping method and error concealment scheme used in DWT-SPIHT coding is proposed.In this algorithm,wavelet coefficients are grouped into independent coding units and processed separately to prevent error propagation.Moreover,a group of wavelet coefficients can be estimated from other properly received coefficients,if they are lost during transmission.Experiment results have shown that this new algorithm has only a little bit loss in coding efficiency,but much better performance on error-resilience using the error concealment scheme proposed.
