【Abstract】 Herman Melville’s Moby Dick has been one of the prime works from Romanism period in the 19th century of America. The irrational elements such as madness which pervading in the pages of Moby Dick have made it quiet unique from other contemporary works. Since the research work on Moby Dick in china mainly concentrate on its symbolism, narrative style and the archetype of its characters, this paper tries to interpret it from a different point of view—the madness or the irrational elements in it. By way of analyzing the art of madness in it, we try to gain a deeper and more comprehensive appreciation of this master piece.更多还原
