【Abstract】 Discussion on the public nature of knowledge in libraries is a topic both theoretical and practical. Theoretical discussion should start with philosophical quest on the essence of knowledge, with attention to viewpoints on knowledge from other subject visions. From a practical aspect, the public nature of knowledge in libraries is closely related to the function of libraries in the process of knowledge society. Hence, the public nature of knowledge in libraries needs to be understood in fused contexts, which are public knowledge in its common philosophical sense, public goods within an economic vision and accessible knowledge in the context of knowledge management.更多还原
