【Abstract】 On the brief summary of the vague linguistics by the scholars both home and abroad,this paper made a deep study on the lexical vagueness of synonyms with many examples taken from English and Chinese synonyms.This paper takes the view that the vagueness of lexical meaning in English and Chinese synonyms is due to the inexactness of denotative meaning,the unsteadiness and duplication of word meaning.This paper makes clear that the fuzziness of human thinking is the basis of vague lexical meaning.更多还原
