【Abstract】 Ginling College is the first women’s university in the history of Chinese higher education, the campus planning and spatial form of which drew on the design of Forbidden City in Beijing. Combined with the quadrangle-form design prevailing in modern campus in the west, its primary and secondary courtyards were arranged symmetrically along the axis. It initiated the renaissance of Chinese traditional architecture. Through investigation, study and comparison, this paper analyzes thecreation skills of the designer Murphy and reveals the influence and importance of his design on China’s modern campus planning.更多还原
