【Abstract】 Totality and Infinity is one of the important books of Levinas,in which Levinas puts forward his ethical theory.Desire and Infinity are key words of his theory.From Levinas’ view,metaphysical desire dif- ferent from need is the desire for the infinite Other.Infinity,which is the absolute Other and presents itself as a face,is the direction for Ego to surpass after escaping of Ego from the interiority.This infinite surpass- ing makes subjectivity separate from existence,split from integrity and identity,receive the summon of Oth- er,and undertake obligatory responsibility for Other.更多还原
