【Abstract】 The Australian novelist Miles Franklin’s autobiographic novel My Brilliant Career,successfully presents the image of Sybylla,a bush girl rebelling against marriage.In the heroine’s life,all married women are trapped in marriage and victimized as a slave of men;and the men’s behavior makes her determined not to marry any man.What is depicted in the novel is the life in the Australian bush at the end of the nineteenth century,but the feministic ideas and the rebellious spirit the author conveys go far beyond her own country and her times.更多还原
