多粒度光交换网络中的一种波长/波带共享转换池结构
Architecture of wavelength/waveband sharing conversion pool for multi-granularity optical switching networks
【摘要】 鉴于目前光网络整体成本较高,波长转换器利用率较低的缺点,在研究现有的多粒度光交换结构的基础上,提出了一种共享波长/波带转换器的方案。该方案的技术特点在于在波带交换矩阵和波长交换矩阵之间增加了一个共享转换池,光纤中需要进行转换的波带和波长都进入共享转换池,共享使用转换池中的波长/波带转换器进行转换。实例表明该方案能够使光网络中波长转换器的数量大幅度减少,在降低了光网络成本的同时提高了波长/波带转换器的资源利用率。
【Abstract】 Based on multi-granularity optical cross-connect, a scheme that shares wavelength/waveband converter is proposed to decrease the total cost of the optical networks and improve the utilization of wavelength converters. The technical feature of this scheme is adding a sharing conversion pool between waveband switching matrix and wavelength switching matrix to share wavelength/waveband converts. The example in this paper shows that the great advantage of the scheme is to dramatically reduce the number of wavelength converters in the optical networks, decreasing the cost of optical networks while raising the utilization of the resources.
