【Abstract】 Syzygium aromaticum is a traditional medicinal material,which has been used as a disinfectant,antiseptic and spice.The influence of medicinal material S. aromaticum(clove) on the eggs and larvae of Tribolium castaneum was studied in the laboratory.Clove was crushed and the ambient temperature was(30±1) ℃.The results were shown as: a.both day 1 and day 4 eggs dealt with clove couldn’t hatch,whereas the eggs dealt with wheat flour hatched normally;b.the larvae of different instars dealt with the same dosage(3g) of clove had different death rates.All of the 1st instar larvae died 48h after treatment.The death rate of the 3rd instar larvae was higher than that of the 4th instar larvae,while the death rate of the 5th instar larvae and the 6th instar larvae had no significant difference from each other but lower than that of the 4th instar larvae.Furthermore,the older the larvae,the longer time the larvae would take to die completely.更多还原
