【Abstract】 The term multiferroics has been used to describe materials in which two or more of the primary ferroic properties occur in the same phase. This paper was aimed to make an elementary introduction about the basical conditions of forming multiferroics, typical types of crystal structure, phase control in multiferroics and mechanisms for muitiferroicity.
