硅尖与高质量碳纳米管混合物的场发射性能
The Field Emission Properties of the Mixed Arrays of Silicon Tips and High-Quality Carbon Nanotubes
【摘要】 以金镍复合膜为催化剂,运用等离子体增强的热丝化学气相沉积法制备了一种硅尖和高质量定向碳纳米管的混合物。为制备这种混合物,实验中96%的高浓度氢气和相对高的生长压力被使用。改变生长压力时,不同的产物———混合物、纯碳纳米管和纯硅尖可分别被得到。在1.1×10-6Pa的高真空下,不同产物的场发射性能分别被测试,结果显示,混合物具有优异的场发射性能———低的阈值电场,高的电流密度和稳定的发射电流。其场发射性能优异的原因可主要归结为混合物中碳纳米管合适的密度分布及高质量碳纳米管的出现。文中对混合物的形成原因也作了详细的讨论。
【Abstract】 The mixture of silicon tips and high-quality aligned carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was grown on Au/Ni catalyst films by the plasma enhanced hot filament chemical vapor deposition method.The samples were prepared at 96% concentration of hydrogen and a relatively high pressure.Different products(i.e.pure CNTs,pure silicon tips,and the mixture of them,respectively) were synthesized by varying the pressure.The field emission measurements on different products were performed at high vacuum of 1.1×10-6 Pa,and the results show that the mixture possesses excellent field emission properties,i.e.low threshold field,high emission current density and stable emission current.Its excellent field emission properties can be probably attributed to the presence of high-quality CNTs and the appropriate density distribution of them.
