29 polymorphism bands were obtained in 18 rice varieties by four ISSR primers,among which 18 bands were specific(62.1%).All of the 18 varieties could be differentiated from each other based on the fingerprints established by these specific bands.Compared with other DNA markers,the ISSR marker can be a more desirable molecular method to differentiate rice varieties or hybrids because of its merits of simple manipulation,good stability,convenient detection and high polymorphism.
