【Abstract】 Up till now,the study of news English has been primarily focused on English news reports with relatively less emphasis on English news interviews.Even those concerned with interviews have been mainly studied from the perspective of macrostructure or style.In other words,only a little research has been conducted on hedging in English broadcasting political news interviews with the tool of functional grammar.This paper thus aims at studying the interpersonal meaning of hedging in such kind of interviews for the sake of expanding the understanding of hedging phenomenon.更多还原
