【Abstract】 The paper gives an account of the significance, design ideas and realization methods of developing an information system for assessing performance in scientific research and teaching and argues on the basis of an analysis of data on the hospital’s use of the system that assessment of performance in scientific research and teaching based on individual professional records and conducted according to the standards of quantitative indexes is the product of new management ideas and further digging of information.
