【Abstract】 Venlafaxine hydrochloride was synthesized from 4-methoxyphenylacetonitrile and cyclohexanone by condensation in presence of KH in toluene to giveα-(1-hydroxycyclohexyl) -4-methoxyphenylacetonitrile, which was subjected to reduction by NaBH4/CH3I/ CH2Cl2 using (C4H9) 4NBr as PTC followed by methylation with an overall yield of 67 %.更多还原
