【Abstract】 Bakhtin’s utterance theory brought him world fame as a linguist. This paper makes a resourceful application of Bakhtin’s theory of dialogue in the analysis of clausal semantics, including interpersonal metafunction, semantic contradiction implied in oxymoron, and the decoding of simile and metaphor, which respectively embody a dialogue between speaker and hearer, speaker and hero, and hero and hero.更多还原
