高岭土除铁增白技术的研究
STUDY ON THEe DE-IRONING AND BLEACHING TECHNOLOGY OF KAOLIN
【摘要】 高岭土是以高岭石族矿物为主要成份的粘土集合矿产物,具有许多独特性能,因此能广泛应用于陶瓷、造纸和涂料等行业。高岭土的白度,是决定其应用价值的重要指标之一,提高高岭土的白度,具有重要意义。提高高岭土白度的传统方法有物理法(包括手选法、水选法、磁选法、浮选法等方法)、化学法(包括氧化法、还原法、氧化还原法等方法),国内外最新的方法是微生物除铁法、有机酸除铁增白法。本文尝试以现有的实验条件,简单、低成本的工艺方法,用化学方法对高岭土进行提纯增白,降低高岭土染色物质Fe2O3的含量,使高岭土的白度得到明显提高,并找出最佳工艺条件。
【Abstract】 Kaolin(Kaolinite)is clay that comes from degradation of original parent-rock.Kaolin is widely used as a raw material in the ceramic industry and as an additive in the pulp and paper industry.Frequently,deposits of kaolin are contaminated by small amounts of iron-containing minerals.Both applications require a clear whiteness.Iron oxides reduce the whiteness index of kaolin giving a brown-yellow coloration depending on the concentration of contaminant iron.Under these conditions the kaolin is useless for industrial applications and it becomes necessary to apply a bleaching process.Our design of experiment includes prior experiment and main experiment.Prior experiment is to check the existence state of iron and to determine the method of iron removal.Main experiment is to analyze the influencing factor and to generalize the best technique.
