【Abstract】 A quantitative characterization method for leather softness was established based on the relationship among leather softness and its bend strength and compressibility.The equipment,which was modified from leather thickness measuring instrument,was used to measure the single layer thickness and double layer thickness of the leather sample and then the softness was calculated by the obtained data.This method is simple and practical and further more it does not break the leather sample during the measurement.更多还原
