Antibacterial Activity of Novel Complex of Gelatin Hydrolysate and Cerium

【摘要】 A complex of gelatin hydrolysate and rare earth cerium synthesized by water-phase method was discussed in this paper. And the complex reaction between gelatin hydrolysate and rare earth cerium was verified by FT-IR. The antibacterial activity of the complex was investigated by using the thick flat cave method. The results show that the antibacterial activities of the complex against bacillus, bacillus coli and staphylococcus aureus are much higher than that of corresponding ligand at the same concentrations. Moreover, the antibacterial activities of the complex increase with the increasing of cerium content in the complex.
