【Abstract】 This paper develops a group of econometric models to analyze the host-country determinants of R&D location by U.S.TNCs.The candidate determinants include a number of variables in destination countries such as the scale of the economy,FDI stock from U.S.TNCs,innovation capability,human capital and IPR regime.Based on the estimates derived from the econometric models,a comparison between China and India is made in their potential for attracting R&D investment from TNCs.Finally,I conclude with a discussion of how China may improve its ability to attract more FDI investment from TNCs as well as maximize the spillover effect of such R&D activities.更多还原
