【Abstract】 Strontium ranelate is a new available medicine in the treatment of osteoporosis possessing effective prevention and treatment for osteoporosis especially in the management of bone fracture induced by post-menopausal asteoporosis.A lot of animal experiments and clinical trials have proven that strontium ranelate not only can prevent bone absorption but also promote bone formation. Up to date, strontium ranelate displays safety and effectiveness in the clinical study.The mechanism of pharmacology and recent advance in clinical trials of strontium ranelate are reviewed in this paper.更多还原
