【Abstract】 As an undeveloped economic-region and important ecologic-barrier of the Changjiang valley,the process of man-land relationship in southwest China not only decides strategic direction of the great exploitation in west China but also influences sustainable development of the whole country. This paper is aiming at evaluating the general pattern of man-land relationship in southwest China through a multi-factor synthetical method,which refers to the interrelationship between regional resource-environment base and human activities.The new findings of this paper could be concluded as the following: first,resource-environment base in southwest China is unsubstantial,and man-land relationship in southwest China is becoming more and more uptight; secondly,population growth,rather than economic activity,had a decisive influence on the uptight man-land relationship of this region;and thirdly, in order to release the growing pressure on the man-land relationship of southwest China,it could be useful to control population growth and improve the efficiency of resource-use through speeding up regional economic structure deeply on the other.更多还原
