【Abstract】 The characteristics of emotional understanding in early adolescents were explored in a sample of 640 elementary school students.The findings indicated that most early adolescents could understand the concept of emotion.Facial expressions,speech,paralanguages and motions were mainly used to identify others’ emotion.Internal cues,facial expressions and motions were mostly used to recognize emotion of their own.They understood the causal connection of the event-emotion-behavior sequence,in which positive emotion is connected with sociable and prosocial events/behaviors,and negative emotion with aggressive and ruinous events/behaviors.Their understanding of emotional hiding rules is still instable.And there is significant difference between the comprehension of their ability to hide emotion and that of others’.更多还原
