存在缓冲气体的Cs蒸气中的三体碰撞(英文)
Three-body Collisions in Cesium Vapour in the Presence of Buffer Gas
【摘要】 研究了C s(6P3/2)+C s(6P3/2)+H e→C s(n lJ=8S1/2,4F5/2、4F7/2)+C s(6S1/2)+H e的碰撞能量转移过程.在温度为330~340 K,单模半导体激光器共振激发C s原子至6P2/3态,利用另一与泵浦激光束反向平行激光束作为吸收线探测6P3/2态原子密度及其空间分布.缓冲气体增大了两个6P3/2原子间的能量转移,这可从测量由两个C s(6P3/2)原子碰撞而被布居的n lJ态所发射的荧光得到证实.三体碰撞速率系数分别为(1.80±0.72)×1-0 27cm6-s 1、(1.28±0.51)×10-27cm6s-1、(2.23±0.89)×1-0 27cm6-s 1.
【Abstract】 An experimental study of energy transfer collisions,Cs\$(6P3/2)\$+ Cs\$(6P3/2\$)+He→Cs(nlJ)+Cs\$(6S1/2\$)+He where \$nlJ\$=\$8S1/2,4F5/2\$ or \$4F7/2\$,in the range 330K to 340K,been carried out in a cell.Atoms were excited to the \$6P3/2\$ state using a single-mode diode laser.The Cs\$(6P3/2\$) atom density and spatial distribution were mapped by monitoring the absorbion of a counterpropagating laser beam.The buffer gas enhanced the energy transfer between two \$6P3/2\$,which was based on the measurement of the fluorescence from the \$nlJ\$ states populated by three-body collision.The three-body collision rate coefficients(in units of 10-27cm6\$s-1)\$ for 8\$S1/2,4F5/2\$ and \$4F7/2\$ are 1.80±0.72,1.28±0.51 and 2.23±0.89,respectively.
