【Abstract】 The binary structure of “tradition and modernity” has manifested multiple investigations into national discourse implicit in modern Chinese literature, which, as are done by the overseas Chinese scholar Leo Lee, include critiques of new views of time and the preeminence of historical consciousness, reconsiderations of the conflicts between individual and community and the resultant establishment and loss of subjects, and finally, discussions of the imagination of “nation-state” as well as the innovation of “public space”.更多还原
