【Abstract】 The spirit of a university must have its striking temper of age.To become world’s first-rate universities,China’s universities need to highlight their independence,academic freedom,a critical and innovative spirit,and the down-to-earth style and diligence in exploring frontier scientific knowledge.The cultivation of the spirit of a university can follow this line of thought: taking excellence as the ultimate goal;being people-centered and practicing tolerance;and strengthening the combination of humanities and natural sciences.更多还原
