【Abstract】 Ns2 is a network simulator which is widely used for network research and design. However, the route protocol implementation in NS2 is so complex that it prevents network researchers from extending and simulating for original routing module. In this paper, Functions and approaches of unicast dynamic routing in NS2 are analyzed and a method to extend route protocol is proposed in NS2.
