【Abstract】 The article reviews the system of Harvard University Library and its collection management. Harvard University Library has been organized in a decentralized way and is composed of more than 90 libraries in different scales and types. Its collection with millions oi titles has varieties of formats. To manage and utilize these collections, the Library has developed several union catalogs. In addition, the library has built a shared high-density storage facility to store its collection. The two library preservation laboratories are dedicated to provide services for library collections preservation, reformatting and digitization. And Harvard University Library purchases the digital resources in a centralized way.更多还原
