【Abstract】 In order to enrich and improve Chinese Soil Taxonomy Classification and to confirm the classification position of soils in altitudinal belts in the north front of the central Tian Shan Mountains,the author investigated the climate,plant and soil resources.Some characteristics of soils in different elevation highlands in the north front of the central Tian Shan Mountains were studied.Based on the Chinese Soil Taxonomy,the diagnostic horizons and diagnostic characteristics of several soil depth profiles as well as related taxonomic classification category were also defined.The results showed that there were four groups including three orders in altitudinal belts in the north front of the central Tian Shan Mountains.Compared with soil genesis,the categery of taxonomic classification did not correspond simply to that of the genetic classification.更多还原
