基于流水线结构的高速专用DMA系统设计
Design on a Pipeline-Based High-Speed Specific DMA System
【摘要】 视频格式转换是当前应用研究领域的热点之一.论述了视频格式转换芯片中专用DMA系统的设计与实现方法.针对视频处理这一专用领域中高速数据传输和高速运算的特点,基于流水线结构优化设计,采用“双总线”的系统架构和依赖握手信号的传输控制方式,实现了每个时钟周期接近1个元素的高效数据传输,在较低的工作频率上满足了芯片对实时处理的要求.
【Abstract】 Video format conversion is one of the ad hocs in present aplication research field.in this paper,the design and implementation of a specific directly memory access(DMA)system integrated in a video format con- version chip were discussed.Due to particular system requirements of high speed data transfer and high speed computation in video processing,a pipeline-based dual-bus architecture and certain handshake protocol transfer control method were proposed to realize high data transfer efficiency,nearly one element per cycle.Thus,the video chip can fulfill real-time data processing at a relatively low frequency.
