【Abstract】 "The Literary Carvings of the Dragon" widely treated of the writers and works since the Periods of Wei and Jin,but it did not mention a word about the "New Sayings of the World" with high position and wide influence during the Periods of the six dynasties.The reason may be mainly resulted from Liu Xie’s literary points of view.He paid great tribute to the orthodox doctrines, Confucian teachings and traditional thoughts,but dissatisfied with the jocular manners and tittle-tattles.He respected elevated minds and Confucian thoughts, as well as the Buddha and Taoist doctrines,but opposed metaphysical talks.He also attached great importance to the ancient but ignored the contemporary,especially the current events.更多还原
