【Abstract】 Based on the general trend in the development of higher engineering education at home and abroad, small projects of designing experiment (SPDE) have been developed to explore and reform the teaching method and to cultivate of students’ ability in mechanical vibration course. The purpose of SPDE emphasizes not only the cultivation of students’ ability to use fundamental knowledge, but also their potential to creatively solve practical problems.
