【Abstract】 Cultivation of national spirit is an important part of the purpose of higher education while it is also necessarily the important contents in training university. Attaching importance to cultivating national spirit is the historical mission of Chinese modern universities. National spirit of American universities has deep social culture foundation. American universities play a significant role in defending and setting up national spirit.
