【Abstract】 15% of general plastics and 30% of engineering plastics in electron and electricity(E&E) industry worldwide were flame-retarded products. The consumption of flame-retarded polyamide (PA) in E&E industry worldwide amounted to 220 kt in 2003. The average use level of flame retardants(FRs) in flame-retarded PA is about 15%.The total amount of flame-retarded plastics for E&E industry in Europe reached 450 kt,including 264 kt(59%) with non-halogenated FRs and 186 kt(41%) with halogenated FRs. The total volume of flame-retarded PA6 and PA66 in the automotive and E&E sectors in the states of the European Union amounted to 110 kt in 2003. For these, 17.5 kt of FRs was used, and the FRs average content in the PA was about 16%. In addition, some new data are summarized in this paper to give a brief picture of flame-retarded plastics in E&E industry worldwide.更多还原
