【Abstract】 The advances in the research of the settling velocity of the interface between clear supernatant water and turbid suspension of cohesive sediment are reviewed in this paper.First,the phenomenon and the mechanism of the interface in the sedimentation of cohesive sediment are brought out.Then two kinds of research results on the interface settling velocity are reviewed,namely experimental formulas and theory or semi-theory formulas.For each kind of formula,the different forms and ways of the foundation of the formula are analyzed by different researchers and the existent problems and limitations are pointed out.At last,the future research prospect of the settling velocity of the interface is proposed in this paper.更多还原
