【Abstract】 Phosphatase and tensin homologue deleted from chromosome ten/mutated in multiple advanced cancer 1/TGF-β-regulated and epithelial cell enriched phosphatase1(PTEN/MMAC1/TEP1),a new tumor suppressor gene,encodes a(dual) specific protein-phospholipic phosphatase involved in a variety of signal transduction pathways.Deletions and(mutations) of this gene were associated with progression and prognosis of many human cancers.Gastric cancer is one of the most prevalent tumor in China.It is demonstrated that PETN might play an important role in carcinogenesis and(progression) of gastric cancer.It was suggested that PTEN be an effective marker and therapeutic target for gastric cancer.更多还原
