【Abstract】 The Swedish education system has undergone fundamental reforms since the early 1990s. A series of policies, including decentralisation, freedom of choice and public funding for independent schools, have encouraged rapid increase in the number of innovative independent schools and their share of overall enrolment. Independent schools exhibit marked advantages over municipal schools, they increase school choices and promote sector-wide dynamism in Swedish school system. The Swedish independent schools may serve as an effective model for educational reform for other countries.更多还原
