【Abstract】 Chemical pesticides are an effective method for controlling destructive biological agents, and are importantin crop production. However, inadequate attention has been given to the effects these pesticides have on crops, evenwhen applied at commonly used rates. This paper summarizes the effects of chemical pesticides on the main physi-ological and biochemical indices such as photosynthesis, primary nutrients, secondary substances, secondary metabolism,active oxygen metabolism, changes in enzyme content, root system vitality, and growth regulating substances.
