【Abstract】 The technology and development of power steering in modern cars, including hydraulic power steering (HPS), electrical hydraulic power steering (EHPS), electric power steering (EPS) were explicated. The background of development, structure, working principle, assist characteristic and traits of all the power steering were described in detail, the conflicts existing in steering system, such as the conflict between maneuverability and sensitivity and the conflict between maneuverability and road feel were mentioned. As a renovating steering system, steer by wire (SBW) was also explicated. There is no mechanical connection between steering handle wheel and steering wheel in steering by wire system, which brings many virtues to steering by wire. The development tendency of power steering was also discussed. The idea was put forward that the electric power steering is the power steering of the future, and the steering by wire is the steering system of the future.更多还原
