【Abstract】 Chinese characters belong to word writing system. However they are not simple pictures of physical objects, but signs derived from highly generalization of the objects. They result from thinking. As an organic constituent of thinking,rhetorical thinking plays an indispensable part in the course of character-building. This paper starts with a study of the shape of characters and then analyzes the character-building from the perspective of rhetoric in an attempt to provide a new understanding of character- building.更多还原
