【Abstract】 The purge-trapping method was applied to the sampling in GC determination of residual benzene homologues in cigarette packing paperboard.Linear relationships between peak area and concentration of benzene homologue were obtained in the range of 4.3-900 μg·L^-1 for all of the 6 homologues tested（i.e.benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene,m-xylene,o-xylene,m-xylene and styrene） with their correlation coefficients achieved to（0.999 9.） Detection limits were ranged between 1.0 to 11.6 ng·g^-1.Recoveries obtained were in the range of（91.5%-）109.2%.RSD′s（n=5） found were in the range of 1.73%-3.24% for the 6 homologues.更多还原
