【摘要】 “红木”与“红木家具”是具有浓烈中国文化内涵的词语,其英文翻译也由来已久,但令人遗憾的是目前“红木”一词依然没有统一固定的英文译名。各类词典众说纷纭,实际使用更是五花八门,令人莫衷一是。更值得注意的是,目前该词的各种英译很少能够体现中国文化的内涵。鉴于这种混乱局面,本文提出一种基于中文原词又能包括其中国文化内涵的英文翻译,并对其理由做以阐述。更多还原

【Abstract】 In spite of a long story of the translation of "Hongmu" and "Hongmu furniture",which both have very strong Chinese cultural implications,it is regrettable to note there is still not a generally accepted English rendition of the term "Hongmu".Even though dictionaries provide many different versions for the two terms,users disagree widely with on their applications.This essay analyses the reasons for the confusing differences among the different versions,then proposes renditions based on their original Chinese contexts,and,at the same time,explains the Chinese cultural implications behind them.更多还原
