【Abstract】 The red palm weevil, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, which is native to India, was introduced to Middle East in 1980s. In China, it distributed in Hainan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Taiwan, Yunnan, and Motuo of Xizang and now menaced to other regions. The pest has caused serous damage to palmaceous plants, especially to Cocos nucifera and Phoenix dactylifera. Now it appears to be continuing to spread. In this paper we reviewed research on its distribution, biology, hosts and control methods.更多还原
