【Abstract】 Reviewing Chinese traditional settlements from the new macro viewpoint-type of defense, the thesis puts forward the concept of defensive settlements. Then, it classifies such special settlements as two parts, settlements with outside linear defense and settlements with partial dotted defense. And the first part also has two types, gathering and single building. Through the analysis and comparison of all kinds of defensive settlements, the thesis sets up the typologic framework of "traditional defensive settlements" preliminarily.更多还原
