【Abstract】 The Hui Merchants were the very important cause bringing about the Huizhou acadmy becoming the height of power and splendour in the Ming & Qing dynasty.The paper inspects the motives from three aspects:to climb the political power,to pursue the economical profit and to enlarge the family′s influence.The paper also analyzes briefly the right social functions and failing social effects of merchants setting up academies from the angle of cultural sociology.更多还原
