网格系统中的层次化资源分配与任务调度
Hierarchical resource allocation and task scheduling in grid environments
【摘要】 讨论具有大量任务数的一类应用在网格系统中的资源管理和控制问题.提出了具有层次化结构的资源分配与任务调度模型,它由任务分发器和次级调度器组成.上层的任务分发器根据任务的性质和需求,并参考下层次级调度器的执行情况,将任务分发到相应的次级调度器上;而下层次级调度器负责将分发来的任务进行实际的资源分配及调度工作.模拟分析表明随着次级调度器个数的增加,任务调度的并行性增加,但系统的优化趋势逐步减缓.在实际应用中,合理选择次级调度器个数,可在满足调度性能的同时减少设备投入.
【Abstract】 This paper discussed resource management and control of the application with a large number of tasks in grid environments.A hierarchical resource allocation and task scheduling model is proposed,which consists of task distributors and low level schedulers.The task distributor dispatches the tasks to the proper scheduler according to the requests of tasks and the execution performance of low level schedulers.The low level scheduler executes the resource allocation and task scheduling.Simulation analyses show that the parallelism of task scheduling is increasing with a gradual increase of the number of schedulers.But a trend of the performance optimization is degressive.In practice,selecting the number of schedulers properly will not only satisfy the performance requirements but also save the spending.
