【Abstract】 It is the theory of Taoism that have affected Chinese traditional culture greatly in so many areas with so long a history.And it can be regarded as the origin and base of the Chinese ethical idea. The author mainly discusses the impact of the theory of Taoism on traditional architectural idea, in the respects of space, organizational ways and position, from the angles of symbol and ethics.Some thoughts are emphasized as focal points, which are about traditional architectural space idea,the meaning of "Tao" and "Qi" in traditional architecture and their way of realization and method of organizing.
